Our Story: From Freelance Journalist to Founder & Editor
newsquare.in was born from the journey of Sufad Subaida, a freelance journalist who spent a decade reporting from the ground, listening to people’s stories, and observing how the media landscape was changing.
For ten years, he worked independently — writing features, interviewing thinkers, covering social issues, and navigating newsrooms that were increasingly driven by speed instead of substance, by sensationalism instead of truth.
Over time, a question began to take shape:
“What if there was a news platform that focused on what truly matters?”
A platform that told real stories.
A platform that celebrated human progress instead of only disaster.
A platform that nurtured scientific temper, critical thinking, and public awareness.
A platform that brought positivity without hiding the truth.
A platform that believed journalism can empower, not exhaust.
This question eventually became a mission.
That mission became a vision.
And that vision became newsquare.in.
As Founder & Editor, Sufad built this initiative with one goal:
